I lost my very best friend today. You gave us nearly 13 years of love, and it hurts so much that I couldn’t be there for you. Thank you for holding on for just a little bit longer so I could see you once more and talk to you, even if it was from 2,000 miles away.
Summer is more than just a dog. I’m not sure Summer even knows she is a dog. She is my brilliant, sassy, beautiful sister, and I can’t name a single person who didn’t love her. My sister would kiss me when I was sad, and punch the balls of any boy she deemed unworthy of me. She is an orange connoisseur and a toy hog, a master destroyer of 3ft long rawhides (her record is a single night). She is always curious and excited, especially when gift wrapping and Christmas is involved. She is bossy, and knows exactly what to do whenever anyone was sad.
No one will ever replace this amazing, perfect, loving, special girl. You helped our family through our toughest days, and I hope you know how loved you are and felt it as you drifted off. I hope you’re swimming and going on boat rides and chewing all of your favorite toys right now.
I love you so much, my Summertime. I know if you were here right now, you’d be snuggled on me, nudging me with your nose, and making me pet you until we both fell asleep. I’ll see you again, puppy head.

Happy birthday to my Pisces twin ❤️ I already told you at midnight since we live together but #obligatorypost . Thank you for making our apartment feel like the best home to come back to!

You are goddamn right we looked up the lyrics to the “it’s a lion” song to properly incorporate Gitana into it. @yogi_aventurera
